As you start to drive through our gates you will see the river
on your left side
but you might be surprised a few hundred yards further on to
see the same river on your right. This is because Caer Beris
Manor was built in a horseshoe bend on the River Irfon. Important
many centuries ago when the first fortifications were built
on the site but now enclosing a haven of tranquility to enjoy.
Croquet on the lawn, river walks, bird watching in the woods
and the adventure of crossing our swing bridge. There are two
separate Sites of Special Scientific Interest protecting our
grounds so they will always be as natural as possible. Among
the species of birds spotted are kingfishers, dippers, herons,
sandpipers and buzzards. Our fifty bird boxes are nearly always
full of nesting visitors in the spring. Pets really enjoy our
grounds. You can even bring your horse, we have a secure paddock
