The Huntsman’s Room
Every manor house has its best guest bedrooms and room 5 is one of them.
The large leaded window overlooks the grounds down to the river. The soft pink colour reflects a warmth which is what our manor house is all about. An enticing 5 foot four poster bed with ample space around and comfy sofas will ensure you have a relaxing stay. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath with a shower above. (Room size 251 square feet.)
The Nanny’s Room.
Originally one of lord and lady Swansea’s delightful guest bedrooms, room 6 is spacious and comfortable.
Through the leaded windows, the outlook is of the swing bridge and you can hear the soft sound of the river as you go to sleep. The 5 foot four poster bed is comfortable and cosy. The bathroom has 2 steps down into it and has both a separate shower and bath. ( Room size 247 square feet.)
The Hoy Room.
One of the original spacious, guest bedrooms in lord and lady Swansea’s day, room 8 has lovely views of the river through its leaded windows.
This quiet room has a 5 foot, 4 tester mahogany bed showed off to perfection in this delightfully, symmetrical room. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over and painted in farrow and ball’s incarnadine. (room size 182 square feet.)
The Gun Room.
Tucked away in its own corridor, room 9 is a dramatic room with a suite of mahogany furniture, including a 5 foot four poster bed.
The farrow and ball, ‘dorset cream’ paint gives it a really cosy feel, just right for forgetting the cares of the day. The comfy sofa is where you can enjoy a cuppa from the teas making facilities in the room. The bathroom has an original marble hand basin and enormous bath with shower over, redolent of its Edwardian manor house days. ( room size 175 square feet. )
